Out of a passion for reading and collecting comics, the idea was born to import comics from the USA, initially for a small circle of comic enthusiasts. This grew steadily until, in 1995, the first shop opened in Bergheim/Erft near Cologne. With comics, trading cards, and a gaming table, the shop became a lively meeting place.
In 2010, Fantastic Store moved to Cologne’s southern district and was converted into a limited liability company (GmbH). In addition to its existing offerings, the store began hosting autograph sessions with many well-known artists from the European and American comics scene.
In 2016, Fantastic Store opened another shop in Mannheim, which quickly became a popular attraction. Events such as autograph sessions are also part of the offerings there. In addition, a red couch invites customers to relax.
In 2020, the Corona pandemic shook the comic book scene worldwide. Fantastic Store was hit hard, and sadly, the Cologne store had to close. But Fantastic Store refused to be discouraged and continues to serve you in Mannheim with all its strength and passion.
