Founded in 1988 by comic enthusiast Steve Koch, Comic Headquarters began as a personal collection and grew into a beloved hub for readers, collectors, and fans across St. Louis. After Steve’s passing in 2014, the future of the shop was uncertain—until longtime collectors Jake Dilley and Mike Petrowich stepped in to carry on Steve’s legacy. With deep roots in writing and art, Jake and Mike are committed to preserving the spirit of Comic Headquarters as a place driven not by business, but by a shared passion for comic books. Today, they continue to foster a welcoming space where the love of comics lives on.
